Music Existence Because of Music, We Exist
After a decade of fronting Delta Spirit and performing with Middle Brother, Matthew Logan Vasquez will release his full-length solo debut Solicitor Returns on Feb 9, a follow-up to his recent Austin EP release.
As Consequence of Sound explained in a recent Q&A, Vasquez “has always had more music inside of him than two bands could handle, so he finally took the opportunity to go solo…to get back to the down-and-dirty style of rock and roll recording he loves,” playing nearly every instrument on the record.
Performing the songs live for the first time with a backing band, Vasquez will support the release with a national tour this spring, dubbed the “Back in the Van for the Baby, Baby Tour” in honor of his first child Thor, who was born in the fall.
