Spanish blackened death extremists NOCTEM will soon command audiences once more with “music of fury, fire and war” (No Clean Singing), as the band will soon enter the studio to record their fourth album, expected to be released in the spring. The band’s 2014 effort, “Exilium,” their debut release with Prosthetic Records, received rave reviews from press and fans alike, and was lauded as “a stunning, full and complex album that is a must-have for any fan of the genre” (Metal-Temple).
NOCTEM members Beleth (vocals) and Exo (guitars) announced, “This new album marks the next step in our career with a completely different sound and more personality. We’re facing the creative process in a more dynamic way this time around, leaving our usual patterns and finding a more peculiar sound. It’s going to be a conceptual album, based closely on Spanish history. We’re trying our best to give our followers the album of our career.”
With a plethora of tours and festival appearances already under their belt, NOCTEM have shared stages with notable acts including Melechesh, Keep of Kalessin, Immolation, Enthroned, Marduk, Hate, Incantation and several more. They will next appear on a trek across Spain alongside Swedish black metal outfit Shining this December. Dates can be found below, and further information can be found at the band’s official website.
