Apothecary Raincoat has breakout year

2023 was a breakout year for singer and rapper Apothecary Raincoat. Beginning in February, Apothecary released his genre-defying hit “Breathing” (Prod. by Wolfgang Pander) to nearly unanimous acclaim. One reviewer commented, “‘Breathing’ strikes a brilliant balance between soul-searching honesty, pop-punk attitude, and hip hop rhythm.” Apothecary was then invited to be a guest on Scarfire Radio’s “The Interview” hosted by fellow independent artist Craig Veltri.

And Apothecary Raincoat did not stop there. On June 9th the artist released his dynamic single “Resolution” (Prod. by Yan Kmit) featuring vocalist Lisa De Novo. The track exploded on streaming services, garnering nearly 50,000 plays on Spotify alone throughout the year. The song also received considerable airplay on Jake Radio Live and The Beat Radio.

Finally, to finish out 2023, Apothecary released a surprising cover of Metric’s “Black Sheep”, just in time for the Netflix reboot of the Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World franchise (where the song originally gained it’s popularity).

So what’s next for Apothecary Raincoat? The artist told us that he is finishing up pre-production on a brand new single titled “CHARACTER” due out in early 2024.

One thing is for certain, if 2023 was any indication, Apothecary Raincoat is an artist that is worth paying attention to. And we will be doing just that.
