Revenge Of The Road: Wilmah

The interesting thing about the pandemic, is that it allowed artists and bands to take a step back and lock in new songs, while creating a vision for life after lockdown in an ever changing industry. New York City’s Wilmah can speak directly to that, as they used their new found free time in 2020 to grow into the alt-pop duo sensation they are today. Fresh off the release of their last single “Television,” Wilmah chatted with Music Existence about future tour plans, road trip songs and more.

Best advice for life on the road?

Wilmah: We’ve played local shows, but we haven’t gone on tour yet – so stay tuned!

Go-to road trip song?

Wilmah: If we had to suggest a road trip song, it would obviously have to be our sun-soaked anthem “Television.” It is indie pop bliss to say the least.

You can bring any new band with you on tour, who’s coming?

Wilmah: We are trying to manifest a Wilmah x Carr x Girlhouse tour.

What’s something about touring you never thought you’d miss but did over lockdown?

Wilmah: We just played one of our first shows back since lockdown. I forgot how happy being on stage makes me feel. It truly is a freeing feeling and I missed being able to express myself in that medium.

Who will YOU be catching live this year?

Wilmah: We caught a really fun Joy Again show in Brooklyn last month and just bought tickets to see Faye Webster!
