Editor’s note: Coming out of the late 80’s hair metal scene, Extreme never quite achieved the mainstream success of their contemporaries. But it wasn’t for a lack of talent. Lead vocalist Gary Cherone has enjoyed a storied career that included a run as the lead singer of Van Halen in the late 1990’s. While guitarist Nuno Bettencourt is widely considered one of the most skilled guitar players in music today. Among his credits is a run as touring guitarist for Rhianna on multiple world tours. While members of the band have enjoyed plenty of success on their own, they often still come together to play gigs as Extreme. Last week the band was in Huntington, NY at The Paramount. Crios Valentino was on hand snapping pics of the scene.
