Today marks the premier of the “Sounds Like You” video from musician-actor Edward Fletcher‘s band, StuntPlane. This video releases in conjunction with their full-length debut, Dyslexic Tango, a complementary mashup of experimental sonics with pertinent lyrics. Indeed, such a presentation is well-executed.
Fletcher states that the perspective of the video is “[f]rom the mouth of babes. Storytelling from the complexities of relationships and all the battles and scars we receive from them, told through the young innocence of children. Directed by Delila Vallot, StuntPlane’s cynical lyrics contrasting with the young people telling of the story, are striking enough to make the make the words of the song jump off the screen. Like children playing at real life, playing house, playing at the life-weary world that follows the long road to adulthood.”
