Monarks Confirm Release of EP “The End”

Monarks are a four piece from way out west – Wells near Glastonbury. Burning with ambition and blessed with a naturally ability to pair a hardy riff, with a massively memorable chorus made more special by the effortlessly sweet yet true vocals of vocalist Sam Kinsella.

Following early pick ups, Monarks are now to release a fully fledged version of their  The End EP  which picked up  interest in the rock press earlier in the year.

The EP now gets a proper release in a fully re-recorded and re mixed form which saw the band working with producer Dan Austin (Twin Atlantic, Massive Attack, Mallory Knox).

The 4 track EP will be released on Blue Cassette Recordings via PIAS on October 16th and can be pre ordered on iTunes here and is accompanied by a video for ‘Sirens that you can watch now, by clicking here which is the first single taken rom the EP.

Sirens – Monarks

Anyone who saw Monarks appear at Camden Rocks would be impressed by the maturity of the songwriting and the obvious drive and ambition on display.  There’s no doubt that Monarks see themselves as songwriters and that they’re passionate about this. There’s a depth and maturity in songs like ‘The End’ and ‘Sirens’ that you just don’t see in bands this young. This pride in their work is what excites the band to take it out there and show just what they are capable of.

“A lot of the new tracks we are writing sound a lot darker, an feels a lot more intense – we’re still growing as a band.“ explains Sam Kinsella, (Vocals/Guitar).

The band have just been buoyed up by their appearance on the bill of this years annual Pilton Party alongside Wolf Alice and Rudimental last Friday

“We were honoured to play Pilton Party, on home turf – it’ feels great to kick things off on home turf”  continues Kinsella.

Pilton Party is an annual village fundraiser arranged Michael Eavis by at Worthy Farm and has seen the likes of ColdplayFoals and Kasabian play in previous years.

More live dates to be announced soon.
