Interview: Dark Remedy discusses upcoming single, “We Are The Dead”

This past December, hard rock quartet Dark Remedy officially signed with Washington, DC-based indie label Imagen Records. This deal materialized thanks to none other than Morgan Rose of Sevendust, an ardent supporter of the band and industry veteran who serves as the label’s Vice President of A&R. When it comes to Dark Remedy’s approach for releasing material, no song of theirs has an expiration date; the band’s upcoming single, “We Are The Dead”, was actually responsible for securing them a management deal with Paul Crosby (former Saliva drummer) back in late 2022. Come January 26th, 2024, “We Are The Dead” will be revealed in its entirety, still thematically relevant among current discourse.

Last Friday, Dark Remedy frontman Steven Miller and guitarist Cary Parsons returned to Music Existence to discuss the new single, takeaways from their career thus far, as well as exclusive tidbits for what’s in store next.

About Jake Kussmaul

I come from a family who is passionate about all things music. I learned to sing at an early age, and by 13, had my very own Fender Strat guitar. I tried my hardest at learning all that I could. Because I was born with cerebral palsy, I had to teach myself an adaptive playing style. I learned to write and record my own music, despite these difficulties. In college, I started making great use of my writing abilities by reviewing music, as well as copy editing. I guess it's best to stick with what you know, while welcoming a fair challenge at the same time.
