THE X HEART TO RELEASE NEW SONG AND VIDEO FOR “GIRLS LIKE THAT” ON NOVEMBER 12
THE FOLLOW-UP SINGLE TO THEIR DEBUT SONG “2003” OUT NOW
Hailing from the middle of nowhere Minnesota (Brainerd) and paying homage to groups such as Green Day and Blink 182, pop-punk newcomers The X Heart deliver rebellious reminiscence. The band is Jeff Mozey vocals/guitar., Andy O on bass and Chad Shredamen on drums.
Their debut song and the accompanying video were released on September 10, “2003” has the band members fully embracing the pop-punk sound, full of hard-hitting riffs and ear-catching melodies,” says New Noise Magazine. See the video here –
The band came together through a “back to basics” mentality, with all the members growing up watching the tail-end of MTV and videos regularly airing on music channels, so they have naturally held many of the bands from that time close to their music and style. “We all met years ago playing in various bands and have been good friends ever since. One day, I suggested starting up a new music project, and everyone was stoked on the idea. It seemed pretty natural for us to start playing together and making some new music happen,” Mozey says.
“The X Heart is a brand-new band with a focus on creating music that feels energetic, yet well-produced and catchy. The group’s music is roaring and dynamic, yet direct and personal, with powerful lyrics to match the memorable melodies and impactful arrangements”

When asked about “Girls Like That,” frontman Mozey explains “When the chorus of the song hits, you get this sixties pop influence, but it still has the same modern aggression that our debut single “2003” has.” He continues, “like a lot of other songs, it’s based around a girl, but this is one that you know is bad for you, yet you still get involved for all the wrong reasons.”
