“Back Like I Never Left” tells a relatable story with its charming lyrics that transcend age and demographics, with a video that goes beyond geographical limitations. “The song is about returning to a lost love and realizing that no time or distance can change the bond you have. With the inability to connect due to the pandemic, the song takes on a new meaning, showing that we can always find creative ways to stay connected,” explains McWilliams.
With a few song releases already on her resume McWilliams has garnered over two million views on YouTube and over 1.5 million streams on playlists with her edgy stylings. Her song and video for the vulnerable “Hurt Me” alone has garnered over 1.5 million views and over 500,000 streams, and saw her social platforms grow significantly with over 100,000 followers.
Deemed by legendary songwriter, Billy Steinberg (Madonna, Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper) as the “One To Watch” expect more new music to come from Austin, TX based McWilliams.
When she’s not writing, recording or performing she dedicates time to her work as a Make-A-Wish ambassador. She is also an official spokesperson for the Art of Kindness campaign, which is partnered with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and she plans to continue her ongoing efforts to support HAAM – Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.
