Live Review & Gallery: Black Label Society with Obituary and Lord Dying at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium (02.28.20)

Black Label Society are on tour spreading the joy that is heavy metal. Their North American Crusade tour, consisting of 24 dates, will go around North America throughout March, so get out there and catch a show (remaining dates below). Opening the tour for BLS is death metal thrashers Obituary and progressive sludge rockers Lord Dying.

Guitar legend Zakk Wylde came out on stage jumped up on his high-rise and started shredding while the other band members, drummer Jeff Fabb, bassists John DeServio, and guitarist Dario Lorina, rocked out in style. Jeff smiling in the back, John showing us how many ways he can play his bass, and Dario letting his hair fly as smooth as his fingers slide down his guitar’s neck. These guys mean business when they’re on stage and it shows, playing each song with ease (so it seems) and having a blast doing it.

The metal community in Los Angeles is alive and well and came out to support this amazing tour. Singing along, head-banging with fists and devil horns in the air, and a mosh pit that wouldn’t stop, the crowd was pumped up throughout the show from Lord Dying until the last song from BLS.
