Music Existence Because of Music, We Exist
A meeting of LCD Soundsystems’s addictive rhythmicality and Hot Chips wonky-pop hooks, ‘Motherland’ is the incredible new single from Stockholm noise makers Diskopunk, and follows the release of their 2018 debut EP ‘Diskopunk’ via Sony Music Sweden.
Self-describing their sound as like “a decadent ABBA with grandiose chord-driven pop songs beefed up with post punk parts; raging distorted synthesizers, guitar riffs and a hell of a lot of percussion”, having played 2 packed out London shows at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen and The Old Blue Last in February and March of 2019, and will be back in London again later this year. As they explain, “We are, and have always been, a pure live band. That’s where, as they say, the action is! We’re incredibly hyped to release our new laser-hits and get out there and play until our fingers fall off.”
