Black Tusk known to most as a sludge metal band from Georgia delivered a powerful performance warming up the rather cold New York crowd. Laying down a constant storm of thunderous riffs that fit more in the thrash category, mixed with a trio of vocal ranges from lead vocals of frontman Andrew Fidler to the backing vocals of bassist Cory Barhorst and drummer James May. With those two main ingredients combined it gave things a sweet blending sound of thrash and punk that the mixed crowd of fans seemed to appreciate.
