Live Review + Gallery: Bayside at The Rex Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA 11.30.18

Fans cheered, holding their drinks in the air, as New York natives Bayside, consisting of lead vocalist/guitarist Anthony Raneri, lead guitarist Jack O’Shea, bassist Nick Ghanbarian, and drummer Chris Guglielmo, took to the stage for their Acoustic Tour set at The Rex in Pittsburgh, PA on November 30th, 2018.

After opening with Moceanu, the band moved into playing tracks from their newest release, Acoustic Volume 2, which debuted at #4 on the Current Alternative Chart, among others. The new album features recognizable favorites delivered in a melodic style, allowing long time fans to feel the music in a completely new way.

The band engaged with the audience by asking questions and cracking jokes throughout their set, setting a very cozy and friendly mood inside the theater. Standing shoulder to shoulder and pressing up against the stage in the nearly sold out venue, fans belted out the lyrics to their favorite deep cuts as everyone on stage looked out into the crowd with smiles on their faces.

Bayside wrapped the 19 song set by playing a melodic cover version of “Don’t Look Back In Anger” by Oasis then ending the night off with the fifth track off of Acoustic Volume 2, Landing Feet First.
