Blue October’s New Album Debuts Top Ten In Billboard’s Album Charts

Platinum-selling alternative band Blue October’s long-awaited ninth studio album I Hope You’re Happy (Out now on Up/Down-Brando Records) has debuted on the Billboard charts this week with the following positions: 

  • #6 on the Current Albums Chart
  • #2 on the Alternative Albums Chart
  • #2 on the Independent Albums chart
  • #7 on the Overall Albums Chart
  • #28 on the Billboard Top 200

The first single “I Hope You’re Happy” peaked at #14 on the US Alternative Airplay Chart and has been in rotation on stations like Alt 103.7 Dallas, Alt 92.9 Boston, Radio 104.5 Philly, KFOG 104.5 San Francisco, 104.3 The Shark Miami, and 101X Austin, among dozens of others across the country. In support of the release, Blue October will be embarking on the I Hope You’re Happy Tour across the US, with upcoming dates in cities like Minneapolis, St. Louis, Houston, and New York City (tour dates below).

Blue October has seen an incredible response to their music over the years, known for platinum singles like“Into The Ocean,” “Hate Me,” and “Calling You. Their latest single “I Hope You’re Happy” debuted at #5 on the iTunes Alternative Singles chart. “I Hope You’re Happy” has also found its way into countless Spotify and Apple curated playlists including iTunes Breaking Alternative, Digging Now(685,273 followers), and New Noise (278,635 followers).
