Cold Black debuts new music video for single, “Miles & Miles”

On Friday, Copenhagen, Denmark five-piece Cold Black debuted their “Miles & Miles” music video to dominantly positive reception. The representative single carries their debut album, Circles, which was released on the same day. Sticking to their signature synth-based metalcore blend, Cold Black aims to wholly satiate legions of both longtime and up-and-coming listeners to their repertoire, which spans over half a decade.

In the music video for “Miles & Miles,” the presentation is equally simple as it is direct. Through a black and white color palette, perspective shifts between band performance, and thematic angle: a black-hooded man running in slow motion. The combination of sounds and scape works especially well in this regard, given the blunt force of the metal riffs and scenic, reverb-tinged synth melodies.

About Jake Kussmaul

I come from a family who is passionate about all things music. I learned to sing at an early age, and by 13, had my very own Fender Strat guitar. I tried my hardest at learning all that I could. Because I was born with cerebral palsy, I had to teach myself an adaptive playing style. I learned to write and record my own music, despite these difficulties. In college, I started making great use of my writing abilities by reviewing music, as well as copy editing. I guess it's best to stick with what you know, while welcoming a fair challenge at the same time.
