Who You Talkin’ to Man?,” written and performed by composer Tyler Bates (“Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Californication”) and songwriter/artist Ciscandra Nostalghia (rising alt/rock band Nostalghia), will be featured in “John Wick,” the new Keanu Reeves action-thriller film due out October 24. “Who You Talkin’ To Man?” is the featured song during a climatic scene towards the end of the film where Reeves’ character must overcome his biggest obstacle and single-handedly take on a stronghold of organized crime members who are heavily armed and waiting for him to arrive. See the film’s trailer HERE.
“Tyler is the composer for all of the film’s music, and I was very excited when he asked me to co-write one of the original songs,” said Nostalghia. “He and I really enjoy the no-rule, no regulations, f**k preconceived ideas, all-in or all-out style of letting go, and we did that with this song. It was written specifically for the film, so there was a general attitude noted prior that revolved around the idea of ‘kicking ass.’ I get particularly excited to take on masculine energy, being a little spit-in-the-face — hell raiser appeals to me. Tyler has a similar mentality and it’s incredible to work with someone who absolutely, wholeheartedly lives to love music.”
“John Wick” stars Keanu Reeves, Bridget Moynahan, and Willem Dafoe. It was directed by David Leitch and Chad Stahelski and written by Derek Kolstad.
Ciscandra and her alt/rock band Nostalghia make provocative, uncompromising and cinematic music. Diffuser.fm just premiered the band’s performance music video for “Sunshiny Milk,” and you can see that HERE. With Chrysalis, the band’s debut album that was mixed by multi-Platinum producer/mixer Dave Fortman and released April 8 (110 Recordings/INgrooves), Nostalghia proves they are not your average alt/rock band. The band is currently on the road with many more dates TBA.
