Electronic Metalcore act “Dread Engine” release synthwave inspired TERROR

FFO: Starset, I Prevail, Wage War

What do metalcore, 80s synthwave, and neon lights all have in common? They are the fuel behind TERROR – a sonic and visual treat from “Dread Engine”. Don’t believe us? Stream and watch the new single now! (Links below)

“The music video for Terror is inspired by the 80’s retro synth wave, pink and blue color and old school technology etc. The song is inspired by what the world takes from you but having someone in your life that keeps you going.”

Dread Engine is an American metal band formed in Columbus, Ohio in 2015. The band consists of vocalist Rick Kaercher, guitarist and clean vocalist Jake Spears, guitarist Steve Blankenship, bassist Johnathan Collins, and drummer Jay Coughlin. Originally writing music for video games, the group shifted focus to playing live music and touring. Writing their first EP in 2015, original members Rick and Jay recruited Jake and Johnathan to write another two albums. After touring in support of the releases, the band recruited guitarist Steve Blankenship in 2020 and now continues moving forward with honing in their craft and bringing new music to their audience.
