“It’s a song about letting your soul be your guide, navigating through the joyride that is love, heartbreak, and life,” says Colette. “Body & Soul” is from Colette’s upcoming debut EP Loveland, to be released in the fall of 2023.
Her songs are reflective, introspective, and thought-provoking as Colette makes a powerful statement with her sweet, yet haunting and soaring vocals. The singer and songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and classically trained pianist weaves pop, rock, and Bossa Nova throughout her original songs.
Proving to be a force to be reckoned with, at the age of 21, she has already had a prolific career. In 2022 Colette and her band supported the American leg of Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains’ Brighten Tour, she then went on to join as keyboardist in Cantrell’s band on the European and US tour in 2023. Her vocals can also be heard on Jerry Cantrell’s new album, “Brighten”.
Elsewhere her version of Martha and the Vandellas’ “Nowhere to Run” can be found in the John Wick: Chapter 4 film and on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Her vocal chops can also be heard in the scores for the Netflix series “Agent Elvis”, Adult Swim’s “Primal” as well as her piano playing on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1 and Volume 2 Original Motion Picture score soundtracks.
