Single Review: Steve Major – “Torn”

Everyone knows that music can be impactful, but it is at its strongest when written for an important cause. Steve Major’s newest single, “TORN,” or “РОЗДIЛЕНI” in the Ukrainian version, is an emotional battle cry against the violence Ukraine is still suffering from. Telling from its deep, meaningful lyrics about the terrible toll the war has had on Ukrainian citizens, Steve has a personal stake in this, having feared for his family and friends who live in the midst of chaos.

Backed by exceptional talent, from incredible vocal couch Lorraine Lawson to highly experienced engineer Michael Jack, Steve Major started collecting all the pieces he needed to release one of the most meaningful songs of the year. He refuses to let this crisis slip from people’s minds, and this song will remind everyone about what is still happening and that they need to keep paying attention.

He’s the right man for the job because Steve is a seasoned, decorated musician and performer. Hailing from Canada, he’s worn all sorts of hats, ranging from television host to cruise ship performer to music artist. I always expect the best from people involved in the industry for a while. They know the ropes! With his experience and talent, he’s ready to bring his message of hope and support to the masses, and I hope you’ll give it a much-deserved listen.
