A review on High Crimes, the second studio album
from supergroup The Damned Things.
The Damned Things are an American rock supergroup consisting of Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley of Fall Out Boy, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Keith Buckley of Every Time I Die, and Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio. The band’s name is inspired by the lyrics in Ram Jam‘s 1977 version of “Black Betty“. #TheDamnedThings #HighCrimes #FallOutBoy #Anthrax #EveryTimeIDie #AlkalineTrio

Overall, High Crimes is breath of fresh air for hard rock and just about every surrounding style. The Damned Things bring some grit and their own brand of greasy rhythm and it shines many times. Take the songs as individual pieces and you will find ones that you love. For all the albums out there trying to make a statement or make a band famous, here’s one that’s just meant to listen and enjoy.
