Gallery & Review: Robert Randolph & the Family Band at Brooklyn Bowl Brooklyn, NY 1/25/18

Grammy nominated Robert Randolph & the Family Band played Thursday night to a packed house at Brooklyn Bowl to celebrate the bands nomination for their 2017 release “Got Soul” in the “Best Contemporary Blues Album” category.

The Peterson Brothers a young act out of Austin, Texas started the night off for the Sacred Steel savant. Robert Randolph & the Family Band played a soulful two hour set of funk infused blues. Along with having Glenn Peterson of The Peterson Brothers join him on stage Randolph would also have out very special guest Michelle Williams. Williams formerly of Destiny’s Child would come out to join the band for their encore to perform “When The Saints Come Marching In”, “I Don’t Know What You Came Here To Do” and “I’ll Take You There”. After leaving the stage the band would return to play one last jam “The March”. Robert Randolph would then send the crowd off with a humble and warm “Good Night” and “God Bless”.
