“bells and sugary-sweet melodies galore, plus, of course, Sinclair’s old-school inflection” – Idolator

After spending seven months honing the project’s sound and style in their personal studio, Cruel Youth (Teddy Sinclair and husband, artist/producer Willy Moon) emerged with the band’s debut EP+30mg. The release, described by Sinclair as an “intravenous hit of our love and everything I find beautiful,” found she and her husband pushing the boundaries of her already fruitful music career, delivering a set of tracks that offer pointed, visceral depictions of modern life, love and addiction.
Joining the first two singles, “Mr. Watson” and “Diamond Days,” which The Deli described as having “soulful vocals and biting lyricism,” are five more memorable and captivating tracks, including the shadowy new single “Hatefuck,” available today.

The EP, which Cruel Youth will release on September 16, continues the invigorating momentum Sinclair experienced while collaborating with Madonna on “Holy Water” for her #1 album, Rebel Heart, and Rihanna on “Kiss It Better” for her worldwide #1 album, Anti. Riding the strength of Sinclair’s signature daring and effervescent vocals, the EP confirms Popcrush’s proclamation thatthe best is yet to come” for Cruel Youth.
