Mitchell Royèl and DJ Juan Puget teamed up for the Heartbreak Edition of Royel’s promotional single Love Like A Hurricane. This release comes in time for the launch of the second issue of Mitchell Royèl’s digital magazine, The Heartbreak Elixir, which will be available to stream on April Fools Day.
The Heartbreak Edition of Love Like A Hurricane delivers a sense of urgency that the original version didn’t. It features more of a hard-hitting/EDM influenced than Royèl’s previous work. The track could very well turn into the Radio Edit of the single as it sounds more current and in alignment with where the EDM marketplace currently resides.
With regards to the marketing of his tunes, Royèl has seemed to embody the strategies of artists like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who promoted and performed a small discography of underground hits over and over again, tliterally for years until they caught the attention of a mainstream audience. This strategy is efficient for independent artists with a limited budget, because it focuses attention and builds momentum for the artist.
