Show Review: An Evening with Zakk Wylde at The Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. 2/19/2016

Rock and Roll’s 6’2 “Wylde” man showed no signs of slowing down at Friday’s 2/19/16 sold out show at The Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This intimate setting was packed with fans from front to back. An all acoustic performance, with Dario Lorina playing by his side, Zakk revisits heavy hitters throughout his BLS and his Pride and Glory catalog. He was dishing out enough punishment to satisfy the most depraved masochist. Listening to songs like Suicide Messiah as an acoustic set, just took the Zakk Wylde experience to a new level. Zakk blew our minds by playing plenty of guitar solos in between the songs to satisfy guitar junkies, like your reviewer. He also showed his grace on the piano during songs like Spoke in the Wheel and his heart felt version of In this River dedicated, as always, to the beloved Dimebag Darrell. Be on the lookout for Book of Shadows II (available April 8th 2016), this is Zakk’s long awaited follow up release to his 1996 solo album Book of Shadows.
