Listen for the Light – Our Code

”One of the most talented bands I have had the pleasure of discovering in 2014. I see big things for these guys in the future”
Bryan Stars, Bryan Stars Interviews 2014

Listen for the Light is an up and coming metal and hardcore six-piece that formed in their hometown of Havre de Grace, Maryland in 2013. Having found themselves with immediate success within the scene due to the release of their debut EP
Common Ground, the group has now made their next big move with the release of the latest single “Our Code”. The single and its accompanying lyric video are garnering a lot of exposure and interest, particularly after the latter’s hosting on the Bryan Stars Interviews YouTube channel.

With an average age of 19, the six member’s youthful exuberance finds them dead set on trying to create a unique way to blend all of their disparate influences into one hard-hitting sound. Tony, Johnny and Kevin had been playing together for a while, even playing together in jazz band and symphony at their high school. During the search for vocalists, the group discovered current drummer Chad May. Not too long after that, Logan Richards was brought in to do the harsh vocals and, after numerous auditions, Justin Hyde wound up taking over clean vocal duties.

The group had several songs written prior to the addition of Chad, Logan and Justin. They began re-working them right away and within a month were in the studio recording Common Ground. The name was a perfect fit for the EP, as it described not only the sound, but the creation of the group itself. Coming from different groups of friends, and different walks of life; however, they came together and created a sound they could call their own. Each member of the band brings something unique to the table. That sonic diversity is all over Common Ground and can be found in spades on “Our Code.”

Common Ground featured guest vocals from Spencer and JD of Ice Nine Kills on “The Lucifer Effect”
Fronz of Attila performed guest vocals on2-13 single “Maverick.”
The band has shared the stage with Miss May I, For The Fallen Dreams, New Years Day, Beyond Dishonor and many more!
They have played at the regional Sumerian Records Showcases.
The group is also set to be interviewed by Bryan Stars at Warped Tour 2014 on July 22nd @ Columbia, MD.
