Exclusive Interview: Alicia G Talks “Daisy Duke Two Step”

When did you first know you wanted to become a musical artist? What was the first song you ever wrote?

I first knew I wanted to become a music artist when I was a little girl performing on stage competing across the country in beauty pageants. I love to entertain and make people smile. The first song I ever wrote was “Pretty Girl”.

Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?

There are so many great artists out there if I have to take five I would pick Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Walker Hayes, Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood.

What’s in your IPOD this week?

I am loving me some Walker Hayes  – Fancy Like

How’s the music scene in your locale?

It’s a great scene I have in my area, but due to Covid is not as big as it used to be, but the way out is the way through… we will get there and be back better than ever!

What do you like most about playing live?

What I love most about playing at performing live is the crowd and the audience reaction. I love making people smile!

Is there a song on your latest CD release here that stands out as your personal favorite, and why?

My new song “Daisy Duke Two Step” not only it’s a fun feel good song and makes you wanna dance but it’s also my first ever country pop song!

What’s the best concert you’ve been to?

I really enjoyed the Britney Spears concert I think because it was one of my first concerts when I was a little girl and I knew ever since then I want to be on stage performing!

If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?

There’s so many amazing artist hard to pick just one let’s go with Eminem he is so raw and uncensored I just love it!

What are your goals for the future?

The skies the limits the possibilities are endless! There definitely will be More songs and Music videos! A true dream come true would be the CMT!
