Dorasel Announces His New Single, “NO LOVE,” Coming Out On February 25

Texas-based recording artist Dorasel has disclosed that his new track, “NO LOVE,” will be released next month, shortly after Valentine’s Day. “NO LOVE” is a deeply personal song for the artist, as it describes his own experiences with his ex-wife, whom he had trusted. For her, he sacrificed his own career to help her progress; however, after reaching her goals, she casually abandoned him. Dorasel will release “NO LOVE” under his own label, HIcDIEM. He hopes to shed light on life after Valentine’s Day through this song, cleverly describing what happens after that day. Everyone celebrates Valentine’s Day with zeal and grandeur, creating lovely memories of their romantic lives. Things, on the other hand, do not always go as planned. “NO LOVE” features Houston’s greatest Slim Thug and the late D-Bando, and is produced by acclaimed Beanz N Kornbread. James Hoover, who is most known for his work with Rick Ross, Destiny’s Child, Scarface, Lionel Richie, Baby Bash, and Chamillionaire, arranged and engineered “NO LOVE” at Hoover Studios in Houston, Texas.

Eric Vaughn, better known by his stage name Dorasel debuted his musical career in prison. Through his first manager, Kenneth’ Snag’ Forker, J.Prince noticed Dorasel and signed him to his Houston-based Rap-A-Lot Records just two weeks after his release in 1998. Dorasel’s signing with J. Prince’s label was a life-changing experience. On the flip side, Dorasel also had a lot of bad luck, and as a result, he served a long prison time, lost a record deal, struggled with mental illness, had a broken marriage, and had no family support. But despite all these, he still earned a bachelor’s degree while assembling a large collection of new compositions. His songs frequently address topics such as fake love, true hate, misery, and passion. He aims to connect with others emotionally through his honest lyricism and engaging melodies. He attributes much of his motivation to his late father, who encouraged him to stay motivated and inspired him no matter what hurdles he faced. Dorasel also enjoys giving free private tutoring to disadvantaged middle and high school kids in Houston’s 5th ward, in addition to continuously crafting soulful music.

Dorasel’s “NO LOVE” will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, on February 25. Visit Dorasel’s Instagram feed for more information about his upcoming projects.
