NEW VIDEO FROM HANNAH FAIRLIGHT FOR HER SONG “DO YOU EVER THINK OF ME” FROM HER ALBUM MUSCLE AND SKIN OUT NOW AT ALL DIGITAL OUTLETS

Hannah Fairlight releases a new video for her song “Do You Ever Think Of Me” from her album Muscle and Skin. Recorded and produced by Austin Hoke and Fairlight and mixed by Grammy nominated Brett Ryan Stewart. Stream it here: https://open.spotify.com/album/2hcLQgieIaBEDcwHcOH5h3?si=EMk4VnumRqu-FvNtAzlrNg

When asked about the song Fairlight shares, “It’s a long-lost love song, but it’s also a song about a special relationship I had when I was out as a queer/gay woman in my early twenties. There’s a lot wrapped up in it for me about feeling free to express that part of my journey. I’m very happily married now to a man, and we have two children, but I felt compelled to give a nod to this part of my identity, also to hopefully help others through my story. Love is love.”

The songs on Muscle and Skin dance between sassy retro vibes and haunting string-laden odes of hope, lost love, and regret. “This Silence” and “Do What You Said You Wanted To” splash listeners with an upbeat self-righteous opening. “Too Late To Wonder” and “Do You Ever Think of Me” settle us into more of a folk-rock territory, while “Bells,” “Money & Run,” “Mother Moon,” and “Walk Away” are beautiful storytelling ballads, while title track “Muscle & Skin” leaves us pondering our own accomplishments and defeats.

Throughout Muscle and Skin Fairlight shares stories of her relatable yet personal journey. “I wanted to reveal my true self, be completely honest, real and raw and confront some of the struggles I’ve faced. No box to fit into, no commercial outlets to impress,” explains Fairlight.

You might recognize Fairlight as Veracity from the Pitch Perfect 3 band Evermoist. But offscreen, Fairlight is an accomplished musician in her own right. The Iowa-born, Nashville-based actress and singer-songwriter has a background in both classical piano and saxophone, and she’s released two albums–2015’s Bright Future and 2014’s Creatures of Habit. Expect to hear more from Fairlight in 2022.
