On Friday, NYC-native Des Rocs released “Imaginary Friends,” the second single from his forthcoming debut album, A Real Good Person In A Real Bad Place, following the critically acclaimed single “MMC.” The highly anticipated album will be available on September 24 via 300 Entertainment and will be supported by a 20+ date tour in iconic venues around the country featuring special guests The Velveteers.
“‘Imaginary Friends’ is a personal anthem that draws from a well of escapism,” explains Des Rocs. “For me this song brings up all the darkest parts of myself – the journey of the last few years – and deals with all that darkness in one sort of manic exhale.”
His upcoming tour, Des Rocs Alive, will hit 20+ iconic venues around the country such as The Troubadour in Los Angeles, The Turf Club in St. Paul and a hometown album release show on November 4 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Des will also be performing at Firefly Music Festival on September 25 in Dover, DE, featuring Billie Eilish, Tame Impala and Lizzo, and at the sold out Aftershock Festival on October 8 alongside Metallica, Rancid, and more.
