Indie Band Depression, Baby Release New Single “Isolation”

Resident Indie boys Depression, Baby talk mental health, isolation, and everything Lockdown on their latest musical offering.

The North London 5 piece are back with another summer daze anthem, diving deep into their personal journey through the ups and downs of 2020.

Following the release of their acclaimed single “Home Again”, Depression, Baby have returned with their new song ‘Isolation’. A dreamy but driving track, the song gives insight into personal struggles during the social restrictions brought on by the pandemic.

‘I’ve always struggled to feel connected to the outside world, lockdown just made it even harder to keep on top of things,” says frontman Dan Tredgold. “2020 has basically been one big tyre fire for everyone and I think that only pushed me further into my own head. Recording this track has really helped bring me back down, and I hope it can do the same for others.”

The band broke onto the scene in 2019. Kicking off their career with a slot at Communion’s flagship night in Notting Hill, before going on a run of supporting some of the UK’s best emerging talent (GOAN DOGS, Some Bodies, Bokito) which culminated in their very own sold out headline show at the famous Old Blue Last in Shoreditch. It was all set up for 2020 to be their breakout year.

“COVID has affected the entire world, and the music industry is certainly a sector that has taken one of the biggest knock backs. At this point our focus is just on continuing to share music we’re proud of and give people some kind of escape from the cycle of Netflix shows, home workouts, and social distanced hangouts that make us feel like this pandemic will never end.”

Their previous single even caught the attention of Spotify, and was featured in ‘Hot New Bands’ which has since brought more attention to this exciting story. It seems like the sky is the limit for this band once the dust settles in 2021.

“Isolation” was released on the 7th of August 2020, and is available on all streaming platforms.
