B L A C K P I T C H makes sludgy post pop rhymes with progressive arrangements, harnessing the power of vocals, electronics, synths, drum machines, sampling/resampling and time stretching.
‘end effect’ is the second track from BLACKPITCH. Whereby visual artists were invited to create a video to a BLACKPITCH track to mutually benefit both parties and create a sense of collaboration and collective creativity. The success of the first project for ‘divebomb’ meant we decided to create a new video with dancer / choregrapher Karolina Wyrwal as creative lead. Again we took Dancer / Performer Marcin Motly as the star of the show. This time the camera work and editing duties went to by film maker Giacomo Corvaia and costume design duties to Zofia Jakubiec.
The idea for the video was to create our own artistic document of personal plastic usage. Not a critique as such. More an acknowledgement of how damn useful plastic can be, how beautiful along with how permanent and problematic.
We collected all our personal plastic for a 2 month period. We filled a room. It was a massive and sobering amount. We used most of it in the video.
The video was featured on Filmshortage, MusicVideoHype and it’s a part of official selection of the LMVF 2021 London Music Video Awards.
Review: (Music Crowns – ‘End Effect’ and it begins with gentle melodies before taking things up a notch with heavier beats and then transitioning back and forth whilst also introducing us to a catchy hook at the 1:32 mark plus the song showcases dreamy vocals and the overall arrangement can be likened to a heart rate.)
