Album Review: Static-X ‘Project Regeneration Vol. 1’

Static-X new album, Project Regeneration Vol 1. , is nothing short of amazing. To hear Wayne Static‘s voice is amazing. I will be perfectly transparent here, when I heard of his passing in 2014, it me hard. Static-X was one of the first bands I got into when I started going outside of what music my parents listened to. I’ve been a fan since Wisconsin Death Trip. To hear this album, brings back a ton of memories and feelings. And…its the original band members from Wisconsin Death Trip album. Wayne, Tony, Ken, and Koichi, with the help of Xer0 make this album everything a Static-X album should be and more! Project Regeneration is works from music Wayne last wrote. Ulrich Wild, who produced Wisconsin Death Trip, also produced this album. This album has many callbacks to the lore of the band. This album is heavy too! Honestly, quite possibly the heaviest and best sounding in my opinion. There are no weak tracks on this album, no need to skip anything! And do not let me forget to mention Xer0, the “mystery” frontman who contributes to vocals on this album and the live shows, which he sounds uncanny to Wayne. This album is everything us Static-X fan has been wanting for years! Also, this would be a great album to introduce somebody to if they have new heard of Static-X (I know…crazy!). Buy this album on July 10th, 2020!!!!
