Iyla is best described on streaming apps as “soulful, sweet, and a little bit street”. This characterization couldn’t be more accurate when watching Iyla pour her heart out into song on her current live tour. The Flowers Tour made its way through Austin, Texas this past weekend and left its mark in the city known for its live music scene.
Iyla, accompanied by opener YaSi, met eager fans out on the stage and did not disappoint. Powerful vocals, intriguing visuals, and an overall prowess as a soul/R&B singer rang through every note. Iyla takes the time during her performance to thank her team for sticking with her through her R&B journey when others did not think she could have a position in the space due to her appearance. Throughout her time on stage, there is not a single doubting face in the crowd that shows that statement to be any percent true.
