Album Review: Strange Days – “Summer Red”

Strange Days is a solo band project ran by Brody Mullikin, a twenty-one-year-old from Port Orange Florida.

On February 1st Strange Days kicked it off with their debut album titled Summer Red. From an hour of 14 songs, Summer Red is a roller coaster of feelings from cheerful to gloomy, exhilarating to mellow. Summer Red is rich in storytelling from beginning to end. Strange Days has been praised by the famous 70’s band America for their cover of “A Horse with No Name,” which was uploaded to YouTube and Instagram.

Strange Days is a solo band project ran by Brody Mullikin, a twenty-one-year-old from Port Orange Florida, United States of America. Strange Days brings back that analog sound we all loved from the ’70s but adds a refreshingly modern spin to it. Three singles from the Summer Red album titled, “Summer Red”, “When I’ll See You Again”, and “Joking Knights,” have already been released with positive feedback from their listeners. Brody Mullikin plays his songs at many local restaurants and bars with great response from the crowd.

“I believe the Summer Red album would fit perfectly on your blog, as it is refreshing and a new take on music with deeply loved elements from the classics, we all enjoy,” said Mullikin. “I also believe that the album would have an excellent response, because Strange Days is a solo project done by a 21-year-old including all-instrumental work, mixing, mastering, artwork, advertising, etc. In the future, Strange Days plan on combining their colorfully rich music with explosive visuals for the ultimate live music experience.”
