Manchesters’ Saytr Play return with riotous new single ‘Second Hand Emotion’

Following the January release of their ‘Bang Average’ single, a track that appeared on Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’‘The Indie List’, ‘All New, All Now’, and ‘Unknown Songs That Should Be Known’ playlists, and was played by Amazing Radio and Radio X, Manchester indie-pop makers Saytr Play return today with new single ‘Second Hand Emotion’

Produced by long-time collaborator Joe Cross and released on his Lovers Music label, ‘Second Hand Emotion’ is a subconscious diary entry discussing frontman’s Fred’s inner worries due to the current state of affairs in our country and globally.

He says “The image explores the vulnerability I feel in today’s society and this idea that we have a voice. In my opinion we don’t have a voice or at least a voice that will be heard. The abstract nature of the image provokes thought. What ever that may be is irrelevant because it’s your own unique thought! Your second hand emotion.”

It comes supported by a strikingly powerful black and white video.  Shot at The Bread Shed by the Manchester-based team at Scruff Of The Neck, it captures the power, poise and personality of this most enigmatic of bands:

Their grandiose pop hooks and raucous live energy has seen them compared to bands like as Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Vaccines and Cage The Elephant, and make infamous appearances at The Great Escape, Tramlines and Kendal Calling Festivals in the last 2 years.  And after playing at Cotton Clouds, Y Not and Kendall Calling Festivals this summer, you can catch them live at the below venues in the coming weeks and months:
