Album Review: Silversun Pickups – Widow’s Weeds

A review on Widow’s Weeds, the fifth studio album from Silversun Pickups.

Silversun Pickups is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles that was formed in 2000. The band is composed of Brian Aubert, Nikki Monninger, Christopher Guanlao, and Joe Lester.

Overall, Widow’s Weeds has a few songs that stand out well but are featured in an album that is loaded to the brim with filler. Die-hard Silversun Pickups fans might find gems in lyric lines and occasional bridges but casual fans won’t have much to enjoy. It’s an alternative album that feels out of time, but it also makes you wish for something more eventful.
