Live Review + Gallery: Nothing More live at Playstation Theater in NYC 03.10.19

The first Monday morning of Daylight Savings Time is usually a sluggish, coffee pounding agony with its very own layer of hell. But that didn’t keep rock fans away from Times Square on a breezy Sunday night. Nothing More‘s ɥʇnɹʇ tour has been an incredible success, with a large number of sold out shows all around the country. And with this kind of high-octane performance, and an increasing amount of radio success, it’s really no surprise.

High energy aside, Sunday night’s New York City show was perhaps Nothing More at its finest. Having steadily been following the band over the last four years, and making it a point to attend nearly every one of their NYC area shows, I can easily say that. Their energy was contagious, their sound both raw and flawless and all-enveloping across a 1.5 hour – 22 song setlist. While more heavily focused on newer tracks from the 2017 release The Stories We Tell Ourselves (which honestly feels like was released just yesterday!), Nothing More nevertheless delighted fans with older staples like “Mr. MTV,” “Jenny” and “This is The Time.”

Nothing More is truly a show to behold. At this point, I’ll never be convinced otherwise. With a hint at work on a new album starting once the band return home post European tour, I can’t wait to experience the next stage in this remarkable band’s progression.
