Album Review: Crystal Lake – Helix

A review on Helix, the fifth full album from Japan’s Crystal Lake.

Crystal Lake is a Japanese metalcore band from Tokyo, formed in 2002. The band currently consists of Ryo Kinoshita (vocals), Yudai Miyamoto (lead guitar), Shinya Hori (rhythm guitar), and Gaku Taura (drums). #CrystalLake #Helix #Metalcore

Overall, Helix should satisfy long time fans and has a few tracks definitely worth checking out, but it may leave many metalcore fans wanting more out of a full album. It definitely has merit and some unique spots worth hearing, but while listening you can’t help but shake the feeling of wishing it was just a bit more enjoyable.
