Music Existence Because of Music, We Exist
HEYROCCO is Nathan Merli, Christopher Cool (that’s a genuine real name, folks) and Tanner Cooper. The North Carolina trio emerged onto the scene in their adolescence with blistering 2015 grunge-kissed debut LP, ‘Teenage Movie Soundtrack’ and follow up 2016 EP, ‘Waiting on Cool’. Championed extensively by Zane Lowe (BBC R1) and John Kennedy (Radio X) amongst others, HEYROCCO have built a cult following who’ve been eagerly anticipating their next move.
Now, in 2019, the band are looking back on a bizarre and turbulent three year time period which included stolen guitars, sleeping in their cars, getting arrested for skateboarding in Walmart and the sad passing of their dear friend, Pete, who they were living with in LA at the time. All of these instances have come to shape the HEYROCCO that we see today.
DESTROYER comes as the first massive new single from the band and is out on 8th February 2019. With its matured and modern take on 90s grunge, DESTROYER propels HEYROCCO back onto the scene with a bigger point to prove than ever before as they set off to the UK to support THE LEMONHEADS on tour (dates below)
