Kali Uchis unveils the BRTHR-directed video for “Just A Stranger” today. The song features Steve Lacy and is taken from Uchis’ massively acclaimed debut album Isolation, out now on Interscope Records.
The release follows Uchis’ first sold-out headlining tour across America including two dates at Terminal 5 in New York and a show at The Shrine in Los Angeles. The tour wrapped in Chicago last week where the Chicago Tribune praised, “[Kali is] blessed with the gift of being the kind of singer who can just stand at the mic and have the crowd hang on her every word.”
Since its release in April, Isolation has appeared on Best of 2018 lists from Rolling Stone, Esquire, Vulture, Genius, Billboard, Cosmopolitan, Stereogum and Consequence of Sound and more. The album includes hits “After The Storm” featuring Tyler, The Creator and Bootsy Collins, “Nuestro Planeta” featuring Reykon, and “Tyrant” featuring Jorja Smith.
