On Friday night Brooklyn’s very own Slashers played their biggest show to date, opening on the big stage in front of a full crowd at the iconic House of Vans in their home of Brooklyn, NY for the legendary Orange County California based punk band Pennywise along with New York hardcore heavyweights Sick of it All. Slashers tore up the stage with a flawless performance grinding hard and fast heating up the already hot summer night with their own version of skate rock. With jams like “Skatecation, Five Mile Grind and If you Don’t Skate Now You Never Did” its safe to say these dudes are all about the skate life and I don’t just mean they are into skating but it was a requirement to be in the band. The local four piece group of skaters are a band to keep an eye out for not only on the stage but out there on the streets and at your local skateparks. Slashers hit the road for a west coast SkatecationTour starting this week with dates and venues listed below.
