The Beta Machine Debut New Music Video for “Again and Again”

The Beta Machine, the dark wave project of seasoned muscians Jeff Friedl and Matt McJunkins from A Perfect Circle (among others), have released a new music video for their latest single, “Again and Again.” McJunkins and Friedl are joined in the band by vocalist Claire Acey (formerly of Nightmare and the Cat) and guitarist Nick Perez.  The band began nearly 7 years ago with Friedl and McJunkins, going to it as an ‘escape, a musical fetus in the making,’ per se. After touring the world together supporting and playing with bands such as A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Eagles of Death Metal, Ashes Divide, and more, these two, very close friends, would quickly go into a melodic hiding place in the Los Angeles together post jet-lag to escape. Friedl and McJunkins decided to branch out and create their own sound constructed of unique musical harmonies, melodies, and lyrical explorations.

Asked about the track in particular, The Beta Machine’s Matt McJunkins said “Again and Again is the third single from our debut EP, All The Time. One of the songs that we started a little later in the writing process, it came to us somewhat painlessly once we decided to complete it.” He goes on: “I won’t say what the song is about exactly but just that it has more than one meaning (to me at least) and that one of those meanings is a bit risqué, that is if anything can still be considered risqué these days. We’ll let you figure that one out on your own.

In addition to the music video, The Beta Machine have also announced that limited editon posters, designed by artist Justin Mohlman are now available via the band’s webstore, the posters are available individually or as a series and each of the 5 available posters features artwork based off the songs on the All The Time EP.
