Papa Roach came to Chicago for a pre-Xmas treat, playing the first night (of three) of local radio station, 101 WKQX’s, The Nights We Stole Christmas event. The show also featured openers Night Riots, and headliners Rise Against.
Papa Roach wasted no time getting the crowd riled up, coming out with their signature frenetic energy as they opened with, Crooked Teeth, the lead song from their newest album of the same name. The band then dove back into three older classics, Getting Away With Murder, Between Angels and Insects, and Scars, before playing more new songs from Crooked Teeth.
The large crowd at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom was fully committed to Roach’s performance throughout, and was treated to a hand’s on experience with frontman, Jacoby Shaddix, who made his way out into the crowd during a mid-set number to get up close and personal with the fans.
Papa Roach plays shows in the midwest over the next week and takes a break for the holidays before heading to Australia in late January, which serves as a prelude to continued touring in support of Crooked Teeth starting in late February in the U.S. (on a package tour with A Day To Remember, Falling In Reverse, and The Devil Wears Prada)
