Originally hailing from Queens, NYC – Bayside formed in the winter of 2000 and quickly developed a following with their melodic, moody, guitar-driven sound. Along with relentless live schedule (touring with artists including Alkaline Trio and Taking Back Sunday), the band utilized community-orientated websites like Friendster and MySpace to promote their music and build up a loyal underground fanbase.

Seventeen years later, Bayside is on the road celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 3rd album, The Walking Wounded.

The Walking Wounded was a really important record for us both personally and career wise. It was the record that got us back on our feet after our accident and also marked a big breakout for us professionally,” lead singer Anthony Raneri explains. “It was the first record and touring cycle that we did with the current lineup. We felt it was important to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of such an important time in our lives.”

He adds: “We wanted this to be more of an event. A celebration. So instead of doing the shows on a grand scale, we decided to only do a few of them and scale back the sizes of the venues from where we’ve been playing for the last few years. We wanted this to feel special for the fans in attendance and for us on stage.”

Friday night’s show at Asbury Park’s historic venue, The Stone Pony, was every bit intimate and rowdy celebration. Check out some of the shots below.
