Lifehouse & Switchfoot‘s “Looking For Summer Tour” rolled into Asbury Park, NJ this past Thursday, August 10th. On the road promoting their latest release, Lifehouse: Greatest Hits!, the band celebrates a successful 17 year career of outstandingly accessible post-grunge tunes.
There’s always a vibe about Asbury Park shows. In particular The Stone Pony’s Summerstage has a particular magic about it. Maybe it’s the way the sun sets behind the stage, or the ocean at our backs as the music swells across the historic seaside town’s busy streets. Thursday night’s gig was no different, with both Switchfoot and Lifehouse creating a larger than life atmosphere and completely encompassed the tour’s namesake. Pleasantly engaging and charismatic, Lifehouse took fans through about an hour of rocking nostalgia via crowd favorites like “Hurricane,” “Hanging by a Moment,” “All In” and a stellar cover of U2’s “Pride (In The Name of Love)” with Bryce Soderberg on vocals. Looking For Summer Tour is really the perfect end-of-summer tour.

Music Existence had the opportunity to speak with Bryce Soderberg and Jason Wade ahead of Thursday’s show. Read it here.
