On a hot steamy New Jersey summer night, Chicago cranked the temperature up past 100 with their outstanding performance at PNC Bank Arts Center. Sounding better than ever, Chicago played to a near sell out crowd. All seats in the amphitheater were filled and fans on the lawn stretched into the distance as far as the eye could see. They played all of the hits from their vast catalog, which spreads across over 20 studio albums. They played such hits as Saturday in the Park, Colour My World, You’re the Inspiration, and 25 or 6 to 4. The setup on stage was a show within itself. Chicago had an LED screen setup, hanging above the stage that spanned the entire width of the stage. It ran in sync with the lights and really added to the show.
Chicago is out on the road celebrating their 50th anniversary. There aren’t many other bands out there that can say they’ve done a 50th anniversary tour. Not only that, but they are sounding better than ever. Everyone in the band is having a blast up on stage and the chemistry is impeccable. Check out Chicago on tour. They’re hitting the road at the end of August in the Pacific Northwest and will be on the road through November.
