The Plague Release Second Single “Not The Only One” Off Debut EP

Freshly launched experimental pop-punk band The Plague has released “Not The Only One”, the second single from their forthcoming debut EP Hope For the F.U.T.U.R.E. The track is a follow-up to “Danger“, a single that racked up over 34K plays on Spotify in two weeks and charted in the iTunes Top 50 Hot Tracks. “Not The Only One” is a heady song about addiction, recovery, and the need to move on from toxic relationships.

Frontman David Adam Monroe says “It was difficult and scary because I wasn’t sure that I was ever going to find anybody that I could relate with and was afraid I was gonna be alone. I thought I wouldn’t find anyone that would appreciate me for being myself. The chorus is me telling myself that it’s going to be OK. On the other hand, I wrote the song so long after the situation and after I had already found those relationships, so in that way I was writing it for other people who are in that situation and need encouragement.

Monroe wrote and produced the entire song himself, which should come as no surprise as he has produced records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson). Before getting into the production side, Monroe was in the band Third Estate, who appeared on Warped Tour from 02-06 and toured with many established acts like Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and MCR.

Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E will be released in the fall of 2017 on the band’s own label Recover Records.
