DEATH VALLEY HIGH Releases New Track “Psalm Bitch” + Behind-the-Scenes Studio Video

Alternative goth rockers DEATH VALLEY HIGH have unleashed a third new single from their upcoming album, CVLT [AS FVK], out November 4 via Minus Head Records. Energized and caliginous from note one, “PSALM BITCH” is available for streaming now via Kerrang! Listen here.

Vocalist Reyka Osburn states, “Lyrically, the dichotomy of “holiness” intermingling with “spitefulness” was the inspiration behind “PSALM BITCH”. There’s something alluring about a sinner in the saint. The song is dedicated to all of the femme fatales that walk that line.

Structurally, the song shouldn’t even exist. The foundation is entirely “Batcave” and borrows more than its share of Death Rock sensibilities. I came up with an almost polarized twist for the vocals, and it quickly became a forerunner for my favorite song on the record.”

Hungry for some bonus material? Vocalist Reyka Osburn recently sat down with CVLT [AS FVK] producer Ulrich Wild (Deftones, White Zombie, Dethklok) and Gear Gods to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look into the recording process on their new album, their studio techniques, and more. Watch the conversation here.

Right now, you can also view an official “WARM BODIES” guitar playthrough/gear rundown with Reyka Osburn via Music Radar, and a “WARM BODIES” bass playthrough/gear rundown with Huffy Hafera via Bass Player. Click the hyperlinks to watch each!
