Hailing from the town of St. Joseph, MO — the garage punk outfit RADKEY have announced that they’ve signed with Another Century Records. The band, compromised of brothers Dee (guitar, vocals), Isaiah (bass), and Solomon Radke (drums), emerged on the scene in 2011 and have methodically sent shock waves throughout the rock and punk scene with their brand of loud, fast-paced riffage, booming vocal delivery, and jocular ethos.
Radkey’s debut offering on Another Century, titled Delicious Rock Noise, will see a November 11threlease. For your first taste of the record, see below for the band’s official live video for their new single “Dark Black Makeup”, which was filmed at this year’s Pain In The Grass festival.
Commenting on the label’s signing of the promising young trio, Vice President of A&R for Another Century, Mike Gitter, states:
“Watching Radkey live is watching a three-man pile-up of youth, energy and inspiration that delivers the goods in terms of sheer imagination and songwriting. We’re excited to be working with one of the best no-bullshit, real rock n’ roll bands out there.”
In addition to the label’s excitement over the band, Radkey also offer their thoughts and feelings on Delicious Rock Noise and what the record means to them personally, saying:
Delicious Rock Noise is the album we’ve always dreamt of making. Since we were old enough to even think about stuff I think. It was really important to make an album the way we believe rock records should be made, and that’s pretty much writing anything you feel like writing and then recording it because you feel that it rocks exactly the way that you needed it too. Delicious Rock Noise is everything that we are, and we feel so lucky to have been able to make it just the way we wanted to.”
Delicious Rock Noise is now available for pre-order via CM Distro (which offers multiple bundle options) and various other music retailers. All pre-orders come with an Instant Grat download of “Dark Black Makeup.” A complete list of pre-order options can be found below.
